Our Motto: Realise Your Potential and Build a Better World

We passionately believe that the key to work and life satisfaction is playing to your strengths and thriving in a job you love.

Far too many people spend their days flat and drained in jobs they are not happy or successful in.

But life is too short to spend it wishing things were different, or waiting for the future to make some changes.

That’s why it’s our mission to help you take action now.

We take a holistic approach to career development, so you can embrace clear career goals, feel confident marketing yourself, and gain clarity and empowerment in your work and life.

For years I thought that people trained for a career for life. But I was wrong. Following your interests and gaining skills to add into your kete is where it is at. My own career path models this flexibility.

Sailing back to New Zealand from Vancouver Island with my husband in a 27-foot yacht taught me that people were the most important focus in my life.

After training as a Physiotherapist, I did some inspiring post graduate work in Canada specialising in rehabilitating people with industrial hand injuries.

Working in my own private practice with hand-injured people we discovered their transferable skills to enable alternative work. This involved me in career advising.

My ‘aha’ moment came when I heard an international Career Strategist from the U.K. speak about the competencies of a Career Practitioner: counselling, finance and education. I added qualifications in education to my existing practical experience and qualifications and became a Career Consultant.

You can re-invent yourself too. We help you to decide what you are good at, what you love doing, and discover the issues you want to solve so that you will thrive in your work.

Life’s journey doesn’t always follow a predictable path, as I naively thought in my teenage years.

The ups and downs of my work and personal life have provided me with challenges, learning, sorrow and joy. And these experiences continue to shape me as a person and in my job.

But there’s one thing that I have always been sure of – my genuine love for people and passion for helping them succeed, both personally and within an organisational context.

That’s why, after college, I pursued a social science degree at University, and went on to lead a challenging and rewarding Human Resources Management career for over thirty years.

Even though I was living my passion working with people in organisations, I still wanted to work with individuals to enable them to realise their career dreams. Which is why I found myself back at Uni to qualify as a career development specialist – in my late fifties!

I bring genuine care and compassion to my role. I have experienced role redundancy from an executive level position leading to a career change later in life. This has lead to my current career work coupled with work in Hospital Chaplaincy. You can benefit from this experience.
